We know there have been a few hiccups with the process, and we’ll continue working to get those sorted out.

We had a GREAT first day at Atlantic Elementary! 💜💛🏴☠️
Our Pirates were excited to be back, and it was wonderful to see our classrooms and hallways filled with smiling faces, learning, laughter, and lots of excitement for the year ahead!
Thank you to our amazing staff for making today so special and to our families for trusting us with your children each day. We are looking forward to an incredible 2026–2027 school year!

Ms. Sarah’s Bus 215 experienced unexpected mechanical issues this morning and will be unable to complete the Cedar Island morning route.
📞 If your child rides this route and still needs transportation to school, please call the school office at 225-3961. We can arrange for our Davis bus to pick up students once it arrives at school, but you must contact the office so we know a pickup is needed.
🚌 We will have a bus available for the regular afternoon route.

Breakfast AND lunch will be FREE for ALL students at Atlantic Elementary this school year! We encourage all of our students to take advantage of this opportunity as much as possible.
Carteret County Schools is partnering with Aramark for school meals this year. Monthly breakfast and lunch menus will be available online at: https://carteret.myschoolplate.com/en/location/atlantic-elementary. Please keep in mind that menu items may occasionally change due to product availability, distribution, or inventory.

Today was all about our Pre-K students! 🎓💜💛
Congratulations to our Pre-K graduates! We are so proud of all they have learned and accomplished this year. From making new friends to learning important skills, they have grown so much and are more than ready for their next adventure in kindergarten.

Yesterday was a great day for our 4th graders! They had a fantastic time at the Beaufort Historic Site and loved riding the double-decker bus while learning about our community’s rich history. 🏴☠️🚌
