Dot Day is a special day to celebrate creativity and courage. It comes from the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. In the story, a girl thinks she can’t draw—but her teacher encourages her to “just make a mark and see where it takes you.” She makes a simple dot on her paper, and that one dot leads her to discover that she really is an artist.
On Dot Day, kids all over the world make their own dots—through art, writing, music, and even acts of kindness—to show that everyone is creative and can make a difference.
In short: Dot Day reminds us that even small things, like a dot, can grow into something amazing when we try our best and believe in ourselves. 🌟
